Gina Gershon Joins Nicolas Cage In ‘Inconceivable’

Last Updated: September 24, 2016

Gina Gershon has signed on to the Jonathan Baker-directed thriller Inconceivable opposite Nicolas Cage, Faye Dunaway, Nicky Whelan and Natalie Eva Marie. Written by Chloe King, filming is set to begin next month with Lionsgate Premiere releasing the picture in the U.S., while Highland Film Group will sell internationally.

The film follows Katie (Whelan), who moves to town with her young daughter in order to start a new life after enduring abuse in her past and she quickly befriends another mother, Angela (Gershon), and her husband Brian (Cage). Angela notices odd behavior from Katie, and begins to question whether Katie’s intentions are as innocent as she makzes them out to be, or if something dark is lurking beneath the surface.

Randall Emmett and George Furla of Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films are producing the pic alongside Baker and Daniel Herther of Baker Entertainment. Wayne Marc Godfrey of The Fyzz Facility and Arnaud Lannic will executive produce.

Gershon’s past film credits include P.S. I Love You starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler and Killer Joe with Matthew McConaughey. She was recently cast in A Little Mermaid, the live-action family film based on Hans Christian Anderson’s 1837 fairy tale. Gershon is repped by APA and Untitled.
