Merkel German politician Injured on Ski Trip

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has injured her pelvis in a cross-country skiing trip during her Christmas vacation and will have to be mostly bound to bed for the next three weeks, her spokesman said Monday. Merkel, who was elected to a third term as chancellor of Europe's biggest economy in December.

Due to injured in a skiing accident, canceled meetings for three weeks in order to recover, according to a government spokesperson.
