Bob Hoskins, 71, lost his life fighting Pneumonia

Robert Hoskins died Tuesday night fighting against pneumonia at the age of 71. Hollywood is mourning the death of legendary actors who had such an illustrious career.

His family is devastated by his death. “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Bob. Bob died peacefully at hospital last night surrounded by family, following a bout of pneumonia. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time and thank you for your messages of love and support.” His wife Linda and Children Alex, Sarah, Rosa and Jack said.

Bob retired from his acting career in 2012 after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. His Last movie was “Snow White and the Huntsman”.

The English actor was known for his roles in The Long Good Friday, Mona Lisa, Cockneys and Gangsters. Hoskins was the recipient of the prestigious Prix d'interprétation masculine as well as winning the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his role in Mona Lisa and an International Emmy Award for best actor for his appearance on BBC One drama The Street in 2009.
