Bio: Alejandro Javier GarcÃa Padilla is the 11th and current Governor of Puerto Rico. Prior to becoming governor, GarcÃa Padilla held various roles in the political landscape of Puerto Rico, first as Secretary of Consumer Affairs, then as member of the 24th Senate of Puerto Rico, and finally as President of the Popular Democratic Party.
