Bio: The Dalai Lama is a high lama in the Gelug or "Yellow Hat" school of Tibetan Buddhism, founded by Tsongkhapa. The name is a combination of the Mongolic word dalai meaning "ocean" and the Tibetan word �ླ��� meaning "guru, teacher, mentor".
