Bio: The family Daskalidès escaped from Turkey in 1923 to Gent, Belgium because of the fact that the Turks killed the greek who lived at that time in Constantinopel (Istanbul). He was from 1941 till 1946 the bandleader and second trumpeter of the jazz-band 'The Blue Swingers'.
