Dwayne The Rock Johnson straight to Gym

Last Updated: April 16, 2014

No wonder why he is called “The Rock”, the 41-year-old actor's first order of business upon landing in Australia on Monday was to hit the gym. The star of G.I. Joe, Fast & Furious, Scorpion King and now the much awaited film Hercules is going to start shooting for his next biggie San Andreas to be released in June 2015.

The shooting will begin soon in Queensland for which Dwayne Johnson is going through a strict routine at gym.

His first update on Instagram after reaching Australia was “22hrs of flyin' to get to Australia and first thing I gotta do is train "slabs and baby cows"… #BackAndCalves #AussieIron #KickinJetLagsAss #TimeForBeer”

The Rock always keeps connected with his fans with showing off his physique on Instagram. Due to his well build physique he has been on the cover of the American magazine Muscle and Fitness.

He said on the social media site that 'being on this cover will always mean something very special to me,' but it's not the only honor he's received.

Forbes sent him a plaque commemorating him as 2013's highest grossing actor.

Between Fast & Furious 6, Pain & Gain, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Snitch, his 2013 films grossed over $1.3billion worldwide at the box office.

The Rock was last seen in New Orleans where he made a special appearance at WrestleMania XXX. He opened the show in a special segment with Hulk Hogan and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin - a dream moment for fans, who saw the industry's biggest ever stars in the same ring at the same time.

The last time The Rock actually wrestled was in the main event of the previous years WrestleMania, which set the record for the highest grossing live event in WWE history, making $72 million.

‘I’m not an extreme guy, but I do get very disciplined and focused,' he told Entertainment Tonight last year, 'now take that same discipline and focus and apply it to a cheat day.'
