One of the bad news which is taking over the media is about demise of the well known actor in the Hollywood film industry, the very well know actor Philip Seymour Hoffman died on February 2, 2914.

Born on July 23, 1967 in Fairport, New York, United States Philips Seymour Hoffman was an American actor and director. In his career he has won many of awards for his best performances in the industry. He has been a very well known personality among his fans during his life time, and he has earned his name and he will remain in hearts and thoughts of fans after his death. The news of his death brought shock among his fans and his fans mourn across the globe.

There is a long list of the awards which the celebrity has won. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for the 2005 biographical film capote. Well he has also received three Academy Award nominations as Best Supporting Actor.

Hoffman received his first Primetime Emmy Award nomination for the HBO miniseries Empires Falls, while he received a second Emmy Award nomination for outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for the Daytime Emmy Awards in his vocal work on Arthur.

In addition to that in his career he received numerous awards and accolades which include Academy Award for the Best Actor, the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor, the Screen Actor Guild Award for Best Actor, and the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a leading role. It is worth mentioning here that he was awarded Best Actor by at least ten film critic associations.
