After eight years of marriage, Robin Thicke, 36, and Paula Patton, 38, separated with their mutual agreement, which was confirmed by Yahoo.

In a statement the couple said that, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time".

When Thicken was 14 and Patton was just 16, both of them met in high school in Los Angeles, they married later in 2005, the relationship was fair enough and they spend a very happy marriage life. In April 2010, the couple welcomed their baby boy Julian Fuego.

The split took place after some rumors that the “Blurred Lines” crooner cheated on Patton. It was in August that the Thicke came under notice after he was spotted to hold a female fan’s bottom in a Miami club.  The singer was also photographed at a Paris nightclub with a woman.

Despite all these incident Thicke always used to mention it a very wonderful marriage.

With his son Patton, the singer was at the Disneyland on Sunday.

In the last year Robin had a breakthrough with his international hit “Blurred Lines” which was nominated for Grammy Awards.

It is worth mentioning here that the People’s Magazine was first to report the news of the separation.
