‘The Bachelorette’: There Was A Better Way To Handle Eric Hill’s Death
The viewer’s condemn Eric Hill’s death but then again there could’ve been a better way to honor his death than to just suddenly announce it to its crew members and the viewer’s themselves. The bachelorette episode that aired on July 7th brought out the devastating news of Eric Hill’s death at Chris Harrison’s house where the participants arrived after they were called for a meet up. The death was supposed to be an emotional and sad moment rather than secretly filming it without the participant’s knowledge for just high ratings.
After the show aired Chris Harrison posted on his blog defending the show, he wrote “What happened was horribly sad and tragic, but to me acting like it just didn’t happen and going on like Eric never existed seemed horribly dishonest and disrespectful,”.
But the worst part is that the show made it all about Andi and her bachelors because she had been rude to Eric in their last conversation and didn’t treat him well, so it was her feelings that mattered above all, she wasn’t thinking about Eric’s soul and who he was rather she focused upon her journey through this “tough” time.
Their viewers ended up taking out all their frustration by Tweeting about it.

If the producers of this show really wanted to make this more about Eric and less about ratings then they should’ve invited people who knew about Eric, who were close to Eric like his family and friends. That would’ve left out any doubt about this show using emotions for their profit.
